UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Owego grad Kaci Donovan and her Penn State teammates will be back in action Sunday when the Nittany Lions (3-1) host Purdue (3-1) in PSU's Big Ten season opener at the Bryce Jordan Center here.

Donovan, a 6-foot-1 freshman guard, has seen action in two games in a reserve role, draining a three-pointer against St. Francis for her first collegiate points.

Penn State opened the season with an 84-45 romp over Coppin State, then routed St. Francis (Pennsylvania), 87-54. PSU would squeak by Rhode Island, 70-69, to go 3-0 at home, then hit the road to play 22nd-ranked Syracuse. The Orange turned away a scrappy blue-and-white squad, 82-72.

The Boilermakers open conference play against No. 16 Northwestern Thursday.

The game will be aired on TV on the Big Ten Network and on radio on the Penn State Sports Network. Tip-off is 2 p.m.
