COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: S-VE'S GRAHAM SELECTS ELMIRA COLLEGE (2020-04-07)

SPENCER — Lizzie Graham will renew her volleyball career at Elmira College this fall. The S-VE senior, who suffered a late-season injury, will look to become a Soaring Eagle.

"Lizzie will bring great energy to the program," said S-VE coach Sarah Heveland. "She leads by example with her work ethic in practice."

She was tied for third on the team in digs with 67 and kills with 29.

Graham likes the fact the school is not far from home.

"It is close to home and everyone at Elmira College is polite and welcome you with such warm smiles," she said. "I felt very comfortable there."

She selected nursing for the opportunity to help others.

"I chose to be in the nursing program to become a Registered Nurse on the Labor and Delivery floor," she said. "I chose this route so that I can help women through hard times and to be there for them as they become a mother because " find it the most touching moment in a woman's life."
