TIOGA COUNTY — The Newark Valley girls basketball team, 22-0 and ranked fourth in the state, takes on Norwich (15-6) in the Section IV Class B championship game at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

The Cardinals are seeded third and the Purple Tornado are the No. 4 seed.

NV held off Owego, 52-49, in the semifinals Wednesday while Norwich came back to defeat top-seeded Oneonta, 55-50.
