TIOGA COUNTY — The final day of the state wrestling championships own the spotlight as they get underway in Albany. There is also a sectional girls basketball game between two Tioga County rivals on the docket.

WRESTLING
NYSPHSAA Division II Wrestling Championships
Newark Valley, Owego at Times Union Center (Albany), 10 a.m.: The Indians' Cam Bundy competes in the semifinals while Newark Valley's Josh Post wrestles in the consolation quarterfinals. Both athletes are guaranteed spots on the podium.

Other Tioga County wrestlers competing in the semis are Tioga's Gianni Silvestri, Caden Bellis and Brady Worthing, and Waverly's Ethan Stotler. The Tigers' Mason Welch and Emmett Wood compete in the consolation quarterfinals.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Section IV Class B quarterfinals
6-Waverly (15-4) at 3-Newark Valley (20-0), 6 p.m.: The Cardinals won both regular-season clashes, 58-46 on the road and 67-62 at home.
