CANDOR — Five Candor players have been selected to IAC South Small School all-star teams.

Senior Daniel Thomas has been named to the first team. He scored 11 points per game and had 27 3-pointers. He also posted a team-high 67 steals, handed out 36 assists and averaged three rebounds per outing.

Earning second-team nods are seniors Kolden Foster, Alex Doucett and Marcus Rypkema, and sophomore Nick Thomas.

Foster led the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game and in blocked shots with 24. He averaged 5.6 boards, 1.8 steals, 1.1 assists and added a dozen threes.

Doucett, one of three Indians to average double figures, scored 10.7 points per game. He led the team in treys with 43. Doucett also averaged 2.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals.

Rypkema chipped in with 6.4 points per game, averaged a team-high 6.1 boards, and also had 23 blocks, 30 steals and 24 assists.

Nick Thomas dished out a team-best 120 assists, and contributed 4.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, as well as 28 steals.

All-stars are selected by a vote of the coaches in each division.

Candor (12-7) has been seeded sixth for the Section IV Class C playoffs.
