Tioga County Sports Report
WAVERLY — Candor's season came to an end at the Section IV Division 2 state qualifier at the Valley Bowling Center here Saturday.
The Indians had three bowlers average above 170, but it wouldn't be enough against a field that included powerhouse and eventual team champion M-E or runner-upHancock. Both recorded nine-game total pinfalls over 8300.
Candor finished sixth with a 6606 total pinfall.
The Indians' Mya Marsh squeaked past teammate Kaitlyn Floyd, 1613-1604 in total pinfall. Marsh sported a 179 average while Floyd tallied a 178. Olivia Bennett recored a 171 average following her 1540 total.
Bowlers' scores are tallied using their three-game totals from last week's class sectionals and six-game totals at the qualifier.
