VESTAL — Owego's Qwinten Adams rolled games of 221 and 212 to post a 596 series and place 20th overall at the STAC Bowling Championships at Midway Lanes Monday.
Nathan Travis contributed a 214-588 to the Indians' effort and Cole Dalton had games of 211 and 204 on the way to a 586. The duo was 24th and 25th, respectively, in the field of 79 bowlers. William Waldron scored a 191-500 and Tyler Taft added a 178-497.
The Indians placed seventh in the 15-team field with a total pinfall of 2767. They registered games of 965, 964 and 838. Corning won the team title with a 3167.
Chloe Gillette led the Owego girls with a 151-400. Haley Stephens recorded a 141-379, Victoria Kobylarz had a 120-306, Elizabeth Reigle had a 112-283 and Lillie Carrigan-Bauer added a 104-270.
Elmira took first with a 2747. Owego was 12th with a 1638, tallying games of 534, 561 and 543.
Owego placed third in the JV boys competition. The division champs rolled a total pinfall of 2107.
Marshall Burrell scored a 180-492, Chris Cornell had a 183-451 and Michael Randall shot 169-451.
Daniel Liberty added a 135 game, Grayden Stanton added a 130 and Jordan VanWageneer tacked on a 126.
