TIOGA COUNTY — It's going to be a light week — with the exception of Friday, which has nine events scheduled. Monday and Tuesday are off days. There are only nine events during the rest of the week combined.

WEDNESDAY
• Newark Valley girls basketball visits Vestal.

• Newark Valley hosts Dryden in IAC Division I wrestling.

• SVEC hosts Waverly in an IAC Division I wrestling match.

THURSDAY
• Candor hosts Groton in IAC Division 2 bowling.

• Newark Valley heads to Waverly for an IAC Division 1 bowling match.

• The Newark Valley wrestlers host Chenango Valley.

FRIDAY
• Owego boys and girls basketball entertain Binghamton in a varsity doubleheader.

• Candor hosts Union Springs in girls basketball.

• S-VE hosts Marathon in boys basketball.

• Owego boys swimming & diving hosts Ithaca.

• S-VE indoor track & field competes in the small school Hurley Invitational at SUNY Cortland.

SATURDAY
• The Owego and S-VE cheerleaders will compete in the U-E Invitational.

• Owego indoor track & field competes in the large school Hurley Invitational at SUNY Cortland.

• Owego and Tioga compete in the Section IV Division II Dual Meet Championships at Chenango Forks.
