TIOGA COUNTY — The busiest day of the week will have athletes in action in 10 events, six of them on the hardwoods.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Newark Valley (2-6) at Marathon (8-2), 7 p.m.: The Cardinals snapped a six-game skid with a win over Dryden Friday. Marathon, ranked 12th in Class D, lost a tough one to Newfield, ranked 16th in Class C.

Watkins Glen (8-1) at Candor (5-5), 7:15 p.m.: The Indians are coming off a loss to Moravia while the state-ranked Senecas are trying to rebound from an upset loss to Whitney Point.

Waverly (8-1) at S-VE (4-6), 7:30 p.m.: The Panthers fell to Union Springs in their last outing while the Wolverines, an honorable mention in the state rankings, just celebrated coach Lou Judson's 200th career victory.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Candor (3-7) at Watkins Glen, 7 p.m.: The Indians are coming off a win over Moravia while the Senecas, ranked 24th in Class C, edged out Edison last time out.

Marathon at Newark Valley (11-0), 7 p.m.: The Cardinals, ranked 19th in Class B, rolled to a 79-6 victory over Dryden last time out while Marathon fell to state-ranked Newfield.

S-VE (1-8) at Waverly (7-2), 7 p.m.: The Panthers fell to Union Springs last tome out while the Wolverines routed Lansing in their most recent contest.

BOYS SWIMMING & DIVING
Norwich (0-3) at Owego (0-3), 5:30 p.m.: Both teams are seeking their first victory of the season.

WRESTLING
Owego (11-3) at Deposit / Hancock (2-5), 6 p.m.: The Indians are coming off a big victory over M-E while the Eagles are coming out of tournament action.

BOWLING
Candor at Marathon, 4 p.m.
Newark Valley at Lansing, 4 p.m.
