NEWARK VALLEY — The Newark Valley JV team picked up two more wins this week, defeating Lansing, 61-32, and Dryden, 50-17, in IAC Large School crossover action.

NV 61, Lansing 32
The Cardinals held their host to eight points in every quarter.

Eight NV players contributed during a 37-point first-half run. Jasmine Graham put up 10 points and Cymbri Jefferson contributed seven during the first two periods.

The Cardinals led by 30 heading into the final period, 54-24.

Jasmine Graham and Haylee Beebe scored a game-high 11 points apiece. Beebe also had nine steals, five rebounds and three assists while Graham tacked on nine steals, three assists and two blocks

Kalyna Graham contributed nine points, five steals and five boards; Rachel Walker had eight points, four assists, three steals and a block; and Jefferson added eight points, six rebounds and a block.

Sarah Raymond put up seven points, Felicia Fiacco recorded three points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists; and Katie Berghorn and Faith Payne added three and two points, respectively.

NV 50, Dryden 17
Newark Valley ran out to a 18-5 first-quarter lead and never looked back.

Jasmine and Kalyna Graham scored four points apiece, and Raymond and Fiacco knocked down one 3-pointer each to get things going. Jasmine Graham dumped in another 10 points in the second period as NV built a 33-9 halftime cushion.

Jasmine Graham pumped out a game-high 17 points and went 7-for-10 at the free throw line. She also had six assists and four steals. Fiacco added seven points and five steals; and Kalyna Graham had seven points and four rebounds.

Walker posted six points and four steals; Beebe had five points, eight steals and three assists; Raymond had five points; Payne added two points; Jefferson had three steals and a block; and Berghorn tacked on a point.
