OWEGO — On Tuesday, the Owego boys went on the road and defeated Vestal, 4-1, winning by six total pins. The Indians returned the favor Wednesday as the Golden Bears won at Owego Bowl, 4-1, and by a mere five pins. 

In the girls match, Vestal prevailed, 5-0. 

Nathan Travis followed up Tuesday's 645 series with a 654, posting games of 235, 218 and 201. Cole Dalton added a 232-574 and Qwinten Adams had a 178-522. William Waldron had a 194, Tyler Taft a 178 and Levi Stanton added a 124. 

Vestal won the first two games, 885-881 and 848-843. Owego took game three, 939-935. That gave the Bears total pinfall, 2668-2663. 

Raiden Skojec led Vestal with a 256-612 while Gage Wilson added a 208 and Chris Mayes contributed a 200. 

The Golden Bears won by scores of 715-506, 761-538 and 753-471 and captured the total pinfall, 2229-1535. 

Holly Stewart paced Vestal with a 193-531. 

Haley Stephens led Owego with a 159-422. Elizabeth Reigle added a 126 game, Chloe Gillette had a 120 and Victoria Kobylarz had a 101. 

The Indians compete in the STAC Mid-season Tournament Saturday at Midway Lanes in Vestal.
