BUFFALO — Newark Valley grad Marissa Silba was the second Canisius College runner to cross the finish line at the NCAA Northeast Regional held at the University at Buffalo.

The freshman posted a 6K time of 22:45.8, placing 194th overall out of 268 competitors. It was her fastest 6K time of the season. Her best 5K time was 19:37.2 at the season-opening Little Three Championships, where she was the first Griffin across the finish line.

Silba was the team's No. 1 or No. 2 finisher in four of five meets this season, and came in No. 3 in the other.
