TIOGA COUNTY — Three Tioga County teams are in action today with one playing for a Section IV championship and the others seeking spots in sectional title games.

FIELD HOCKEY
Class C Championship
Newark Valley (14-4) vs. Greene (8-8) at Vestal, 3 p.m.:
The Trojans knocked off 5-time defending state champion Whitney Point, 1-0, in the quarterfinals before dominating Marathon in the semifinals. Meanwhile, NV rallied from 2-0 deficits to defeat Deposit / Hancock and Sidney in overtime.

FOOTBALL
Class C Semifinals
Windsor (6-2) at Newark Valley (5-3), 1:30 p.m.:
The Black Knights dropped NV, 44-29, in the season opener, however, the Cardinals were without some key starters.

Against common opponents, Windsor defeated WG / OM, 20-14, and lost to defending state champion Susquehanna Valley, 29-0. NV beat WG / OM, 44-25, and lost to Sus Valley, 58-21.

Class D Semifinals
Tioga (8-0) vs. Delhi (6-2) at Johnson City, 3 p.m.:
This will be the first meeting between the two since September 2017.

Against common opponents, the Tigers are 7-0 while Delhi is 5-2. The Bulldogs lost to Walton, 38-35, and Greene, 35-15. Tioga defeated those two opponents, 23-20, and 48-20, respectively.
