FULTON, N.Y. — Newark Valley racked up 35 first-half points en route to a 41-0 non-league victory over Fulton here Friday evening.

Andrew Obregon opened the scoring with a 3-yard run and Caden Bennett scored from a yard out, both touchdowns coming in the first quarter. Dawson Moncalieri's PAT kicks made the score 14-0.

Raidyn Ford got in on the scoring in the second period with a 2-yard run and the point-after kick pushed the NV advantage to 21-0.

Mike Wandell's 12-yard pass to Bennett and Bennett's 2-yard run closed out the first-half scoring. The PAT kick following the aerial TD failed, but the 2-point conversion following the run made the score 35-0 at intermission.

Bennett scored the game's final TD as well, tallying on a 50-yard scoop-and-score following a Fulton fumble in the third quarter.

Wandell enjoyed an impressive day through the air, going 9-for-12 for 226 yards. Bennett snagged four of those aerials for 90 yards and Ford caught two for 20 more. Jake Armstrong and Obregon had one reception apiece for 77 and seven yards, respectively.

The Cardinals spread out the rushing duties with Ford picking up 70 yards on nine carries. Obregon had 47 on 11 runs and Bennett contributed 32 on 10 totes. Josh Duke toted the pigskin twice for 16 yards and Wandell carried the ball three times for 16 yards.

The Red Raiders (4-3) chalked up 264 yards offense, 168 of it coming on the ground.

It was the fourth straight win for NV, which clinched the Section IV Division III championship last week.
