IAC MODIFIED GIRLS SOCCER: NEWARK VALLEY TOPS TIOGA TO COMPLETE 9-1-1 SEASON (2019-10-17)

TIOGA CENTER — Newark Valley battled the rain and Tioga here Wednesday, defeating the Tigers, 7-4, to complete a 9-1-1 season.

Kylee Carrier tallied a goal and three assists, and Paige Hinckley scored two goals to pace the Cardinals. Madison Simpson contributed one goal and one assist, and Livia Short, Ruthanne Walburn and Adrianna Finta added one goal each.

Alissa Haney accounted for all of Tioga's goals.

Laura Ludwig made four saves in goal for NV.

Newark Valley scored 36 goals in 11 games and nine of its games were shutouts, one being a 0-0 tie with Waverly. The lone setback came against SVEC, a loss the Cardinals avenged last week.
