IAC VOLLEYBALL: CANDOR MOVES CLOSER TO ANOTHER UNBEATEN REGULAR SEASON (2019-10-16)

CANDOR — Candor moved within a match of a second consecutive undefeated season Wednesday, sweeping winless Watkins Glen, 3-0, here.

The Indians won by scores of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-7 to improve to 15-0.

Shelby Swartz registered five kills and one dig; Kadrianna Foster had one dig; Jennah Kareem contributed 10 service points, five aces and seven kills; Braelyn Hornick handed out 15 assists; Megan Henry pitched in with 15 service points, including seven aces; and Kailyn Edwards added one dig.

The varsity heads to the Horseheads Classic this weekend and both the varsity and JV host Waverly on Monday night. The Wolverines are tied with Newark Valley for first place in the IAC South Large School division at 10-4. The Indians clinched the IAC South Small School title last week.

JV: Candor swept, 2-0, to improve to 15-0 as well.

The scores were 25-9 and 25-11.

Isabel Makie had five kills and one block; Brooke Wilcox dished out five assists; Cadri Edwards had five service points, including two aces; and Kiera Heidl chipped in with seven service points, three aces, two assists and one kill.
