ELMIRA — Owego grad Savannah Terry has been named the Empire 8 Co-player of the Week and the Elmira College Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 13.

The Soaring Eagles went 2-0 last week and Terry, a junior middle blocker, registered team highs in attack percentage (.586) and blocks (11), and was second in kills (18) and aces (3). Offensively, she made just one error in 29 swings.

For the season, she ranks among the top 10 in the Empire 8 in attack percentage (.248) and blocks (47), and ranks second on the team in kills (129) and aces (28).

Terry, who has played in a team-high 78 sets this season, and the Eagles play their home finale tonight against SUNY Delhi at 6 p.m.
