IAC VOLLEYBALL: NEWARK VALLEY CRUISES PAST DRYDEN (2019-10-15)
Tioga County Sports ReportNEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley chalked up an other victory Tuesday evening. This time, it was a 3-0 sweep of Dryden in an IAC Large School crossover match.
The scores were 25-14, 25-10 and 25-12.
Emma Graves had 13 kills, three aces, three blocks, an assist and a dig; and Allie Wandell dished out 18 assists to go with six kills, four aces, three digs and one block; and Jordan Stiffarm contributed seven aces, six digs and three kills.
Kayla Malarkey had two digs, a kill and an assist; Libby Northrop had three kills, and ace, an assist and a dig; Kimi Mertson had four aces; Gracie Gardner chipped in with two kills, a block and an assist; Chelsie Fuller had two kills; and Kate Maine and Isabel Rosalez added a dig and an assist, respectively.
Ashley Thorington had six points and three digs for Dryden; Ryann Thompson had four points, including an ace, and one dig; and Emma Kidney had three points, including two aces and two digs.
NV visits S-VE this evening.
JV: The Cardinals won, 2-0, with scores of 25-21 and 25-20. Dryden won the exhibition third game, 32-30.
Makana Gardner posted nine kills and two blocks; Jenna Hanson dished out 12 assists; Olivia Simms served up six aces; Paige Little had four kills and Hailey Mioncalikeriadded three kills.
