IAC BOYS SOCCER: SVEC BLANKS WAVERLY, 6-0, IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE (10 PHOTOS) (2019-10-15)
Tioga County Sports ReportCANDOR — SVEC closed out the IAC South Large School regular season with an impressive 6-0 shutout against Waverly here Tuesday.
Lance Jensen scored two goals and had one assist, and Jacob Banks contributed a goal and an assist. Alex Doucett, Kaden Hover and Brayden Ferris chipped in on the win with a goal apiece, and Daniel Thomas added two assists.
SVEC outshot Waverly, 31-2, and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Ferris and Matt Suttmeier split time in goal, making one save apiece.
Cameron McIsaac had seven saves for the Wolverines Nate Ryck had five.
Waverly finishes the season 2-10-1.
SVEC (11-3) faces Dryden in the IAC Large School Championship Saturday at TC3 at 4 p.m.
