WINDSOR — Owego captured runner-up honors at the Bob Mott Invitational here Saturday, winning a dozen games in the process.
The Indians dropped the championship game to Windsor, 25-15, after dispatching Bainbridge-Guilford, 25-19, in the semifinals.
"Played really well until the finals," said Owego head coach Brittney Race. "Then, just couldn’t sustain and fell apart a little."
The Indians went 11-1 in pool play, dropping one set to Horseheads, 26-24. They also beat the Blue Raiders, 25-18. They also defeated Johnson City, 25-14, 25-13; B-G, 25-13, 25-13; Waverly, 25-20, 25-23; Windsor, 25-16, 25-23; and Vestal 25-17, 25-22.
Owego (10-1) returns to STAC dual match action Tuesday evening when it hosts M-E.
