NEWFIELD — S-VE won its second straight match Thursday, defeating Newfield, 3-1, in IAC South Small School action here.

The Panthers won the first set, 25-19, then the two teams split a pair of 25-23 nail-biters. S-VE sealed up the victory bu taking game four, 25-16

Sam Deppe handed out 22 assists to go with 10 digs and two aces; Emily Jones contributed nine kills, two blocks, two aces and a dig; and Niah Lavore had two kills, seven digs and four aces

Lydia Diboun recorded 15 digs; Lizzie Graham had three kills and two digs; and Ashleigh Morais pitched in with four kills and a block

Sophia Dutra had four kills, an ace and an assist; Makayla Dacey added six aces, three digs and one kill; and Gillian Jackman had a dig and an assist

The Panthers (4-7) visit Waverly (8-3) Monday

JV: S-VE won all three sets. The scores were 25-16 in the first two games, then the Panthers won the exhibition third set, 25-17.
