SPENCER — SVEC spread the wealth Thursday, pummeling Watkins Glen, 10-0, in IAC South Large School action here.
Ten different players contributed points against the Senecas, who were coming off an impressive rout of Noter Dame.
Mason Holmes led the Eagle assault with two goals and an assist; Daniel Thomas had a goal and two assists; Lance Jensen found the back of the net twice; and Darren Starkweather contributed a goal and an assist. Jayden Grube, Alex Doucett; Ryan Corcoran and Kaden Hover scored one goal apiece, and Jacob Banks and Kade Haney added one assist each.
SVEC dominated possession from the onset, building a 6-0 halftime advantage. The Eagles took 30 shots to WG's six and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Brayden Ferris had a light day in the SVEC goal, making three saves. The Senecas' Bryce Kelly collected 10 saves and Josiah Wysocki added three more.
SVEC (8-2) travels to Binghamton Saturday evening to face Chenango Forks (9-3) which is ranked 16th in the Class B state poll.
