CANDOR — Candor improved to 12-0 on the season with a 3-0 sweep of Edison here Wednesday.

The Indians dominated the first and third sets, 25-12 and 25-13, and endured a 27-25 battle in the second set.

Jennah Kareem and Megan Henry recorded double-doubles to lead Candor. Kareem posted 13 kills and 14 digs, and Henry had 14 service points and 10 kills.

Selah Ray had one assist block and five kills; Shelby Swartz contributed 10 kills; Braelyn Hornick dished out 37 assists, and also had eight service points and three aces; and Kailyn Edwards added seven digs.

For the Spartans (6-6, 6-5 IAC), Hailey Fierro contributed 12 kills; Maren Lutz had two kills, 14 digs and five service points; KK Bush added 14 digs; and Ryleigh Carson scored five service points.

Candor visits Tioga Monday.

JV:Candor won the junior varsity match, 2-1. After dropping the opening game, 25-20, the Indians rolled to 25-8 and 25-12 wins.

Kiera Heidl had 18 service points, two aces, six assists and two kills for Candor. Brooke Wilcox had six service points, three aces, six assists and a kill; Izzy Makie had six kills; Addison Aman chipped in with 11 service points, four aces and 13 digs; Cadrianna Edwards had six service points and four aces; and Anna Greeno and Madison Compton added two kills apiece.
