OWEGO — A forfeit at third doubles was the difference in Owego's 4-3 loss to Binghamton here Wednesday.

The match was tied at three apiece after all the contested events, but the Indians haven't been able to field a full squad, giving the Patriots' Leila El Beagerni and Celena McBean the 6-0, 6-0 forfeit.

Owego's winners were Larissa Fisher over Andin Chanecka at third singles, 6-0, 6-0; Julie Selover against Comari Wachika at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-2; and the first doubles duo of Julianna Hessberger and Laura Pawlak over Chloe Merla and Aiden Arnold, 6-4, 7-5.

Binghamton's Madison Weinheimer defeated Rachel Raftis at first singles, 6-1, 6-2; and Kathryn Salamida downed Grace Riddleberger at second singles, 6-2, 6-3. At second doubles, Emma Stehli and Chloe Iannuzi topped Alexis Gause and Zoe Zachary, 6-4, 6-4.

Owego visits U-E Monday.
