IAC VOLLEYBALL: S-VE DROPS WATKINS GLEN TO PICK UP WIN NO. 2 (2019-09-17)

WATKINS GLEN — S-VE snapped out of a two-game slump Tuesday, handing Watkins Glen a 3-1 defeat on the road.

The Panthers would win the opening game, 25-20, but the Glen knotted things up with a 25-14 victory in the second set. S-VE responded by dominating the final two games, 25-13 and 25-11.

SV-E's Ashleigh Morais posted 10 kills to go with two aces, a block and an assist. Sam Deppe handed out 19 assists and had seven aces, two kills and a dig; Daisy Vallely chipped in with eight digs, two kills and two aces; and Makayla Dacey added seven aces, seven digs and three kills. Lizzie Graham had  four kills, four digs and an ace; Sophia Dutra had six and a dig; and Gillian Jackman added two digs..

S-VE (2-4) visits Newark Valley (4-2) Thursday.

JV: The Panthers swept, 25-9 and 28-26. They also won the exhibition third game, 25-9.
