CANDOR — IAC South Small School leader Candor remained unbeaten, sweeping IAC South Large School front-runner Newark Valley, 3-0, here Tuesday evening.

The Indians, now 6-0, won by scores of 25-16, 25-18 and 25-15.

For Candor, Selah Ray had one block; Shelby Swartz contributed 11 service points, four aces and one block; Jennah Kareem chipped in with 11 kills and seven digs; Braelyn Hornick tallied 10 service points, three aces and 27 assists; Megan Henry added 11 kills; and Kailyn Edwards had eight service points and two aces.

The Cardinals' Emma Graves scored six kills, one block and six digs; Leah Hartenstein had one ace and three digs; Kate Maine had four assists and four digs; Kayla Malarkey contributed an ace; Kimi Mertson added one ace and one dig; Libby Northrup had two digs; Jordan Stiffarm pitched in with one ace, one assist, one kill and 14 digs; Allie Wandell had four assists, four kills, one block and six digs; and Grace Gardner two blocks and one dig.

On Thursday, Candor (6-0) visits Watkins Glen (0-5) and NV (4-2) hosts S-VE (2-4).

JV: Candor won, 2-0. The scores were 25-12 and 25-15.
