Tioga County Sports ReportCORNING — Corning won its fourth consecutive match Monday, defeating Owego, 7-0.
The Indians' Larissa Fisher would go three sets with Jessica Pesansky at third singles before falling, 6-7, 6-2, 10-8.
At first singles, Riley Davis defeated Rachel Raftis, 6-1, 6-2; Trisha Bhatia downed Grace Riddleberger, 6-4, 6-1, at second singles; and Alexa Cates topped Rachel Wood, 6-2, 6-1.
Erin Austin and Darien Beall bested Laura Pawlak and Julie Selover, 6-2, 6-4, at first doubles, and Mia Colonna and Esha Soni beat Julianna Hessberger and Zoe Zachary, 6-0, 6-0, at second doubles. At third doubles, Jordan Edger and Hannah Plumley received a forfeit.
Corning improved to 7-1 with the win while the Indians slipped to 2-4.
Owego hosts Binghamton at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
