IAC VOLLEYBALL: CANDOR CONTINUES TO ROLL (2019-09-12)

ODESSA — Candor continues to roll through the IAC. On Thursday, the Indians swept their fifth straight opponent, defeating Odessa-Montour, 3-0, in South Small School action.

Candor won by scores of 25-12, 25-10 and 25-12.

Braelyn Hornick dished out 15 assists and served up 14 points, including four aces. Shelby Swartz contributed five points, four of them aces, plus four kills and a block. Kori Strong had nine points and three kills; Megan Henry had seven points, three of which were aces, as well as three kills; and Teagan Bartlow and Kailyn Edwards pitched in with three digs apiece.

Candor (5-0, 5-0) competes in the Tioga Tournament Saturday.

JV: The Indians won, 2-0, with scores of 25-7 and 25-12. Grace Handy had 12 points, including five aces. Anna Greeno and Izzy Maki added 11 points, four aces and one kill each, and Kiera Heidl handed out a pair of assists.
