STAC BOYS SOCCER: OWEGO FALLS TO VESTAL (2019-09-12)

OWEGO — Joey Higgins would score on a penalty kick to pull Owego within a goal of Vestal during Wednesday's STAC contest, but the Golden Bears would finish with a 5-1 win. 

Higgins scored with 7 1/2 minutes remaining in the first half to close the gap to to 2-1. 

Hunter Sisson registered eight saves in goal for the Indians. 

Mark Pradun recorded two goals and an assist to lead Vestal. The Bears' other goals were tallied by Ronnie Contrata, Daniel Ojo and Carter Ruhm. Zamir Visram, Sean Lewis, Matt Sprague, Brennan Farr, Nick Sholett and Jon Eaton added assists.

Adam Lewis and Austin Clement combined for two saves for Vestal (3-2). 

Owego (1-2-1) returns to the pitch Friday at M-E (4-0).
