TIOGA COUNTY — Intra-county action steals the spotlight today with four of eight events involving Tioga County schools against one another.

BOYS SOCCER
Newark Valley at Waverly, 4:30 pm.: The Cardinals look to put a win in the books.

Vestal at Owego, 7 p.m.: The Indians host the Golden Bears under the lights.

GIRLS SOCCER
SVEC at Tioga, 4:30 p.m.: The Eagles won their previous meeting last week, 9-2.

GIRLS SWIMMING & DIVING
U-E at Owego, 4:30 p.m.: The Indians won their season opener on the road and will now try to win their home opener.

GIRLS TENNIS
M-E at Owego, 4 p.m.: Owego will try to stop a two-match skid against a tough M-E squad.

VOLLEYBALL
Newark Valley (2-1) at Edison, 5 p.m. JV start: The Cardinals are coming off a sweep of Lansing.

Tioga at Candor, 5 p.m. JV start: The Indians ended Tioga';s reign atop the IAC last year, but the Tigers countered with an upset at sectionals.

Waverly at S-VE, 5 p.m. JV start: The Panthers won their previous outing, but now must face the Section IV Class C champs.
