OWEGO — Owego tested the back nine at Pheasant Hill Country Club Tuesday and shot a season-low 209. Unfortunately, M-E carded a 192 team score to win the match.

The par-35 back nine is approximately 360 yards shorter than the par-36 front nine and it showed in some of the scores.

The Indians' Nick Purtell and M-E's Dom L'Amoreaux shared medalist honors, each tallying a 37.

The Spartans received a 38 from James Cundy and 39s from Spencer Gorstan, AJ Blake and Nate Asfourg. Their No. 1 player, Stephen DeGerman, shot a non-scoring 44.

The Indians' Brendan Evans and Adam Gault each finished with a 40. Kyle Koprevich carded a 45 and Karson Tofte contributed a 47. Mason Rieg added a non-scoring 48.

Owego hosts Ithaca Thursday at PHCC Thursday.
