JOHNSON CITY — Jennifer Scott and Emma Stephenson were quadruple winners as Owego defeated Johnson City, 96-68, in the season opener Thursday.
Scott won the 50 freestyle in 26.67 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:06.21 while Stephenson captured the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:26.52 and the 500 free in 6:01. 15
The duo teamed up to win the 200 medley relay with Emma French and Leah Watson, clocking 2:03.787, and the 200 free relay with Katie Shoen and Ashleigh Gault, posting a time of 4:23.37.
French added wins in the 100 free in (1:03.73) and 400 free relay (4:23.37). Shoen had victories in the 200 free (2:08.5) and 400 free relay. Gault contributed wins in the 100 backstroke (1:06.47) and 400 free relay. Watson also on the 400 free relay.
The Indians' runners-up were Holly Kersten in the 200 free, Allison Welch in the 200 IM, Gault in the 50 free, Watson in the 100 fly, French in the 1200 back and the 200 medley relay of Shoen, Carly Kirtland, Ashleigh Allen and Madison Holmes.
Watson contributed a third in the 200 free.
Owego hosts U-E in its home opener Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
