ENDICOTT — High Heat held Owego to two hits to win the Tri County Teener League 14U "A" championship, 8-0, at Sertoma Field Saturday.
High Heat scored three runs in the first, and two in each of the second and third innings to build an early cushion.
Tioga’s Bryce Bailey went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI to pace High Heat’s eight-hit attack. Tioga’s Come Whitmore contributed a run to the win.
Bryant Carpenter struck out 17 to earn the victory.
Ethan Perry, Bradley Palmer and Conlan Taylor shared the pitching duties for Owego.
Perry and Peyton Ferrell had the Owego hits.
Owego committed five errors in the loss.
