WAVERLY — Waverly won three games Wednesday night, including the championship game of the Waverly Summer League Basketball varsity playoffs.

The Wolverines opened with a 49-43 win over Troy, then topped Athens 57-38 in the finals.

Second-seeded Waverly then posted a 67-59 win over regular-season champ and top-seeded Watkins Glen in the finals.

Third-seed Athens worked a hard-fought 40-35 win over seventh-seed S-VE in the quarter finals, while the Senecas advanced to the finals with a 42-17 win over Edison in the quarterfinals and a 40-39 win over fourth-seeded Candor, which topped fifth-seeded Mansfield 52-37 in the quarterfinals.
