COLLEGE BASEBALL: OWEGO TRIO INDUCTED INTO ALFRED STATE HALL OF FAME (2019-07-01)

OWEGO — Former Owego Free Academy baseball standouts Craig Howe, Eric Baker and John Gregory were inducted into the Alfred State Athletics Hall of Fame on June 1.
The trio were members of the 2002-2003 baseball team which compiled a 40-13 record and were ranked No. 14 in the final NJCAA national poll.
Alfred State won the 2002 Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) championship and the 2003 Region III championship.
The 2002-2003 team is the only baseball team in school history to win both championships in the same school year.
Howe and Baker graduated from Owego in 2001, and Gregory is a 2002 alumnus.
Alfred State has since become a four-year institution and competes at the NCAA Division III level.
