YOUTH BASEBALL: OWEGO LITTLE LEAGUE 10U/12U TOURNAMENTS BEGIN SUNDAY (2019-06-28)

OWEGO — The annual Owego Little League 10U and 12U tournaments get underway Sunday at Hyde Park. The tourneys will feature 17 10U teams and 19 12U squads from Tioga County, and the Triple Cities and Ithaca areas.
In the 10U tourney, Candor (Rose) and Chenango Forks (Ingerson) kick things off Sunday with an 11 a.m. pool play game on Franz Field. The only other local team playing Sunday in the 10U tournament is Owego (Gregory), which plays M-E (Davis) at 1 p.m. on Beuter Field.
On the 12U side, Owego (Bensley) is the only local team in action on opening day, facing Vestal (Carlton) at 11 a.m. on Cheresnowsky Field.
Pool play runs through Sunday morning, July 7, with bracket play to begin at 1 p.m. the same day. There will be no games July 4 due to Independence Day.
