SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: S-VE POSTS SEVERAL TOP-THREE SHOWINGS AT CLASS C MEET (2019-05-22)

ONEONTA — Seven S-VE standouts posted top-three showings at the Section IV Class C Track & Field Championships here Wednesday. Among them was Ryleigh Clark, who leapt a school record 34-10 to finish second in the triple jump.

The Panthers Levi Mickelson finished as the runner-up in two events. He recorded a time of 2:05.9 in the 800 and ran a 4:38.87 1600.

Calum Avery placed second in the 3200 in 10:11.94.

Christian Kunzman tossed the discus 118-1 to take third.

In the girls meet:

Madelynn Pasto clocked 27.72 seconds to grab third in the 200.

Jenna Squier cleared the bar at five feet even for third in the high jump.

The Panthers’ 4x100 relay was also third, clocking 52.54 seconds (names were not available).

Also scoring points for the S-VE boys were Luke Simonton fifth in the discus at 113-08, James Wilkinson, fifth in the shot put at 40-1, and the 4x800 relay, fifth with a time of 9:42.79 (names were not available).

The boys placed seventh with 36 points and the girls were ninth with 26. Trumansburg won the boys meet with 109 points and Lansing won the girls title with 110.

The top three finishers in each event plus provisional qualifiers move to the Section IV State Qualifier at U-E Wednesday and Thursday.
