BINGHAMTON — Owego defeated Chenango Forks, 13-12, in overtime in Section IV boys lacrosse action here Monday.
Sawyer Prentiss scored six goals and added three assists, recording his 200th career point in the process.
Atlas Boland contributed five goals and four assists. Lucas Boccachini added two goals and two assists, and Garrett Phelps tacked on one assist.
“Our guys realized their potential tonight,” coach Craig Nevins said. “They believed in the plan and in one another and followed through.
“Possessing the ball was a huge offensive win, while the defense had an amazing game with some major stops.
“Aiden Rhodes maintained composure and goal, stopping a number of potential game enders and leaving everything he had on the field.”
The River Hawks head to Union-Endicott on Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest.
