SECTION IV BOYS BASKETBALL: NEWARK VALLEY DRAWS NO. 1 LANSING IN CLASS B (February 20, 2026)

NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley has been seeded eighth for the Section IV Class B Boys Basketball Championships and will head to top-seeded Lansing on Feb. 28 for a 6 p.m. quarterfinal contest.

Should the Cardinals pull off the upset, they will hit the road again on March 4 for a 6 p.m. semifinal at No. 4 Watkins Glen or No. 5 Chenango Forks.

The Lake Hawks (13-6) have received honorable mention recognition in the state poll.

The championship game will be held March 8 at 11:45 a.m. at Visions Veterans Memorial Arena.
