SECTION IV BOYS SWIMMING & DIVING: OWEGO’S ALLEN, SCHRADER WIN CLASS B TITLES (February 17, 2026)

ENDWELL — Magavin Allen and Eric Schrader captured individual titles at the Section IV Class B Boys Swimming & Diving Championships held at Maine-Endwell Saturday.
Magavin Allen, the River Hawks’ senior standout, won the 100-yard backstroke, posting a time of 56.57 seconds, touching the wall 1.8 seconds ahead of runner-up Gavino Pizzuti from Maine-Endwell. No other competitors broke the one-minute mark
Schrader, a sophomore, won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.04. His time was exactly two seconds faster than Chenango Valley’s Caden Hoyt, the second-place finisher. Hoyt bested Schrader in the preliminaries by 1.19 seconds.
Magavin Allen was second in the 100 butterfly, clocking 55.99 seconds, and Schrader was the runner-up in the 500 free in 5:16.09, less than two seconds out of first place.
The duo teamed with Javan Belokur and Vince Kneller to finish second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.04, 1 ½ seconds better than its preliminary time.
The same foursome placed fourth in the 400 free relay in 3:39.75, almost 10 seconds faster than their time in the preliminaries.
Belokur finished sixth in the 500 free with a time of 5:33.44, and the 200 free relay of Stephen Gilmore, Padraig Allen, Tobin Reynolds and Dom Scherrer was sixth in 1:59.83.
Belokur and Kneller won “B” finals with Belokur taking the 200 free in 2:01.84, and Kneller winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.57.
Gilmore was second in the 100 free “B”final, recording a time of 58.53 seconds, while Padraig Allen took third in the 100 back in 1:14.99.
