IAC CHEERLEADING: NEWARK VALLEY CAPTURES LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP (February 15, 2026)

NEWARK VALLEY — Host Newark Valley was the top team overall at the IAC Cheerleading Championships held here Friday evening.

NV scored 65 points in winning Class D, edging out Tioga, which was the runner-up with 62.8 points. Marathon placed third with 54.5 points.

In Class C, Whitney Point was first with 55.2 points and Dryden was the runner-up with 39.9.

In the Coed division, Edison was uncontested.

All of those teams qualify for the Section IV championships which will be held at Union-Endicott High School on Feb. 28.

Other teams competing in Class D were Moravia, Spencer-Van Etten and Watkins Glen.
