IAC BOWLING: HARTMAN, GREEN LEAD NEWARK VALLEY TO WINS OVER LANSING (February 9, 2026)
Tioga County Sports ReportITHACA — Rachel Hartman rolled a 600 series to lead Newark Valley to a sweep of Lansing here Monday afternoon, while Devon Green also shot a 600 to lead the Cardinal boys to a 3-1 win over Lansing in IAC bowling action.
GIRLS
Newark Valley 4, Lansing 0Newark Valley opened with an 804-626 win in the first game, then followed it up with wins of 747-497 and 744-625 for a total-pinfall win of 2,295 to 1,748.
Hartman led the Cardinals with a 606 series on games of 210, 211, and 185, while Brook Illsley shot a 469, and Abigail Dufresne had a 450.
Maeanna Jackson had a 399 series, while Stormi Wiley added a 346, and Abigail DeBolt tacked on a 313.
Sienna Wright led Lansing with a 409.
BOYS
Newark Valley 3, Lansing 1The Cardinals won the first two games by scores of 904-867 and 850-810, but the Bobcats salvaged the third game with by a count of 877-863. NV held on for a total-pinfall win of 2,617 to 2,554.
Green banged out a 669 series on games of 217, 225, and 227, while Mason Peck rolled a 530, and William Simmons shot a 506.
John Sloughter had a 477 series for the Cardinals, while Reese Illsley added a 413, and Kaleb Jackson tacked on a 359.
Nathan Armstrong led Lansing with a 599 series.
Newark Valley returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Tioga.
