SECTION IV WRESTLING: NEWARK VALLEY’S CREELEY, DILLOW DRAW TOP SEEDS IN QUALIFIER B (February 6, 2026)

NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley’s Cadin Creeley and Wyatt Dillow have drawn the top seeds in their respective weight classes for Section IV Division II Qualifier B, which will be held here Saturday.

For Creeley, the Cardinals’ 165-pounder, and senior classmate Titus Callahan, the No. 2 seed at 190, it’s the beginning of a quest to return to the state championships, where the duo competed in 2024.

Last season, the duo missed a trip to Albany when Creeley placed fourth in Section IV and Callahan was fifth (the top three at each weight qualified for states).

Creeley is 28-2 this season and Callahan is 31-3. Chenango Valley’s Brennen Riquier (28-8) drew the top seed based on seeding criteria which favored him for being a 2025 state qualifier.

Dillow (215), a junior who wrestled just 10 varsity bouts last season, is 16-13 this season.

Seven other NV wrestlers have been seeded to advance to next week’s Division II state qualifier (the top five move on at each weight).

Senior Logan Woodin (22-5) is seeded second behind Oneonta’s Alan Little (30-4).

Logan Rhodes (26-11), Marcos Escalante (29-8) and Jack Blomberg (21-12) are seeded fourth at 138, 144 and 285, respectively. Andrew Lelik (20-15), Kenny Slater (15-17) and Elijah Williams (19-14) are the No. 5 seeds at 110, 118 and 285, respectively.

Also competing for the Cardinals are Sheldon Houston (17-16, 6th at 103), Leland Houston (15-15, 7th at 138), Jacob Shipman (13-15, 9th at 126), Logan Davis (14-13, 11th at 132), Travis Middendorf (10-11, 10th at 150).
