IAC BOWLING: CANDOR SPLITS WITH GROTON (February 3, 2026)

GROTON — The Candor girls bowling team swept Groton, 4-0, in IAC action at Memory Lanes here Tuesday, but an undermanned boys team fell to the Red Hawks by a 4-0 verdict.
GIRLS
Candor 4, Groton 0
The Coyotes won by scores of 745-591, 739-600 and 711-539, and grabbed the total pinfall, 2195-1730.
Calli Marsh led the charge, rolling a 206-571 while Kyrsten Jackson scored a 159-460 and Zoe Travis added a 192-453.
Allison Johnston added a 131-363, Makenna Nixon contributed a 126-339 and Teresa Kern tacked on a 115-320.
Groton received a 200-547 from Madelyn Pitts.
Candor’s Raina Schneider-Kern recorded a 125-332 in exhibition.
BOYS
Groton 4, Candor 0
Candor had three bowlers, who were paced by Malcolm Jackson’s 18-513. Conner Kellogg registered a 184-484 and Stanley Winnick had a 175-445.
The Red Hawks, with four bowlers, were led by Elijah Brehm with a 602 series that included games of 237 and 225.
Groton won by scores of 496-461, 742-517 and 704-464, and won total pinfall, 1942-1442.
Next up for Candor is a trip to Newark Valley on Thursday.
