IAC BOWLING: CANDOR GIRLS, TIOGA BOYS WIN IN TEAMS’ SECOND MEETING (January 21, 2026)

OWEGO — The Candor girls bowling team avenged a season-opening loss to Tioga, posting a 4-0 victory in IAC Small School action at Owego Bowl Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Tigers swept the boys match, 4-0.
BOYS
Tioga 4, Candor 0
Malcolm Jackson was on fire with a 688 series, but it wouldn’t be enough to carry the short-handed Coyotes to victory.
The Tigers won with scores of 818-549, 926-563 and 862-587, giving them the total pinfall, 2606-1699.
Nick Slater led Tioga with a 618 series which included games 213 and 215. Charles Holmes shot a 248 in game two and finished with a 597 series.
Kris Swagger chipped in with a 171-494, Aaron Belles shot a 170-462, Markel Watkins added a 170-424 and Austin Mumbulo tacked on a 157-371.
Jackson’s day included games of 254 and 256. Stanley Winnick contributed a 210-519 and Conner closed out the scoring with a 180-492.
BOYS
Candor 4, Tioga 0
The Coyotes opened with a tight 766-762 win in game one, then took the next two, 796-707 and 780-748, giving them the total pinfall, 2342-2217.
Candor’s Calli Marsh had the high series of the day, a 582 which was highlighted by a 222 in her final game. Allison Johnston shot 184-481, Zoe Travis posted a 190-465, Makenna Nixon had a 162-432, Kyrsten Jackson added a 125-349 and Raina Schneider-Kern scored a 120-327.
Kelsey Helmich opened with a 232 game en route to a 555 series and Kelsey Ellis followed with a 211-491. Liberty Magner registered a 175-442, Madison Joyce had a 141-371, Sabrina Ellis rolled a 124-350 and Katie Bleiler added a 125-310.
Emery Medovich had a 117-304 in exhibition.
