OWEGO — The Susquehanna Valley boys bowling team, chasing the STAC Central/East title, defeated Owego, 4-1, in action at Owego Bowl Monday. The Sus Valley girls swept the River Hawks, 5-0.
BOYS
Sus Valley 4, Owego 1
The Sabers improved to 19-11 and remained in second place in the division behind Chenango Valley (27-8) while Owego slipped to 12-18.
Sus Valley won the first two games by scores of 879-816 and 1024-972 with Owego taking the third, 854-851. SV claimed the total pinfall, 2754-2642.
Evan O’Hara led all bowlers with a 278-654, Connor Kotski rolled a 217-595 and Grayson Quick added a 213-583.
Ari Lemmon contributed a 163-438 while Scott Reigle bowled two games with a high of 157 and Nick Youles tacked on a 101 game.
Caziz Bonsell led CV with a 247-649. Antony Storti had a 215-569 and Coleson Steen added a 208-559.
GIRLS
Sus Valley 5, Owego 0
The Sabers won by scores of 670-506, 628-442 and 568-548, and took the total pinfall, 1866-1496.
Allicyn Bisaha led Sus Valley with a 186-445.
Elaina Anschutz led the River Hawks with a 146-367. Madison Kinney shot a 121-327, Americus Booker had a 116-304, Emma Nixon added a 104-258 and Sophiarose Winters tacked on an 89-240.
JV BOYS
Owego 4, Sus Valley 1
The River Hawks took game one, 586-549 and game two, 539-498, and won the total pinfall, 1702-1626. SV won the third game, 579-577.
Logan Rosenberger paced Owego with a 158-470, Cameron McGowan rolled a 146-392 and John Lillie contributed a 104-292. Logan Vizina added a 110 game.
