HS WRESTLING: OWEGO DUO COMPETES IN BRADSHAW INVITE (January 17, 2026)

CANANDAIGUA — Owego wrestlers Gavin Lovell and Cael Daly competed in the 51st Robert Bradshaw Invitational Friday.

Lovell posted a 3-2 record at 103 pounds while Daly was 2-2 at the same weight.

The 7th-grader dropped a 5-2 heartbreaker to Fairport’s Jackson Zeller in his first bout, but bounced back with a 42-second fall over Penn Yan’s Jamison Adams.

He followed that with a 16-1 tech fall in 2:42 over Alexander’s Luke Windnagle and a 16-6 major decision against Pittsford’s Patrick Gallo.

Lovell’s tournament ended with an 11-4 loss to Jason Ellis of Webster Thomas.

Daly, also a 7th-grader, dropped his first match, a 16-0 tech fall, against Fairport’s Brandon Ong.

His next two bouts resulted in victory, both by major decision. He defeated Irondequoit’s Jeffery Konzel, 11-1, and Stephen Dioguardi of Webster Thomas, 10-0.

Canandaigua’s Nolan Lamb ended Daly’s tournament with a 12-0 decision.

Seven of the duo’s opponents are Division I competitors.

Lovell is now 19-6 on the season while Daly is 12-4.
