TIOGA COUNTY — There are a trio of girls basketball games in Tioga County tonight with Candor, S-VE and Newark Valley, but wrestling fans will be focused on the third annual Southern Tier Memorial wrestling tournament at the LeCom Event Center in Elmira.

BOYS WRESTLING
Newark Valley, SVEC at Southern Tier Memorial, 10 a.m. @ LeCom Center, Elmira: There are 34 teams in action at the third annual Southern Tier Memorial, including SVEC, Newark Valley, Tioga, and Waverly.

Other Section IV teams including BGAH, Chenango Forks, Corning, Elmira, Horseheads, Groton, Schuyler, Thomas. A. Edison, U-E, and Whitney Point.

Other N.Y. State schools include Albion, Auburn, Canandaigua Academy, Canisteo-Greenwood, Copenhagen, Letchworth, Penfield, South Seneca, St. Anthony, Tottenville, Watertown, and West Genesee.

Pennsylvania schools in the field include Williamson, Bellefonte, Brookville, Chambersburg, Lackawanna Trail, Milton, Penn Valley, South Williamsport, and Wyoming Area.

Athens at Mid-Winter Mayhem, 9 a.m. @ IUP: The Wildcats will be one of 58 teams competing this weekend, including Bishop McCort, Line Mountain, Montgomery, North Penn-Liberty, Pittsburgh Central Catholic, and Chestnut Ridge.

GIRLS WRESTLING
SVEC, Newark Valley, and Owego at Southern Tier Memorial, 10 a.m. @ LeCom Center, Elmira: There will be 35 teams competing this weekend, including SVEC, Newark Valley, Owego, Waverly, ad Tioga.

Other Section IV teams include Chenango Forks, Elmira, Groton, Horseheads, Johnson City, Schuyler, Oneonta, Sidney, Team United, Harpursville, Edison, Walton-Delhi, Whitney Point, and Windsor.

Other N.Y. schools include Dundee, Fairport, Gouverneur, Haverling, Homer, Letchworth, Lockport, Midlakes, Niagara-Wheatfield, Northern Adirondack, Phoenix, Sherburne-Earlville, and West Genesee.

Pennsylvania schools participating include Bellefonte, Chambersburg, Milton, Penns Valley, Scranton Prep, and Wyoming Area.
