IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: CANDOR ROLLS PAST ODESSA-MONTOUR, 60-27 (January 7, 2026)

ODESSA — Candor built a 19-5 first-quarter cushion and rolled to a 60-27 victory over Odessa-Montour in IAC South Small School boys basketball action here Tuesday evening.

Jakobe Foster accounted for eight points while Ben Sheridan and Donald Makie combined for another nine markers to get things rolling.

Makie erupted for 13 points in the second quarter as the Coyotes stretched their advantage to 36-11 at halftime.

Candor put up another 15 points in the third period with Makie adding six more to his total while the Coyotes pushed their lead to 51-18.

Makie finished with a game-high 23 points with one 3-pointer, and also contributed two steals, two assists and two rebounds to the win. Foster added 14 points, five boards, five steals and four assists, and Ben Sheridan chipped in with eight points, including two 3-pointers, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Ryan Huizinga added four points, three boards, two steals and one assist; James Pritchard drained one trey, Teagan Kwiatkowski had two points, five rebounds and a stealand Kellen Williamson pitched in with two points and four rebounds.

Carter Edwards recorded two points, two rebounds and a steal; Mat Smith had two points and a steal; Kyle Jantz registered three steals, three assists and three rebounds; and Kyron Odell pulled down two boards.

Hunter Mowry and Aaron Smith scored six points apiece for the Grizzlies.

Candor (5-2) travels to Marathon Friday.
