IAC GIRLS BASKETBALL: S-VE FALLS TO WINDSOR IN CONSOLATION GAME OF KAZLASKI TOURNEY (December 30, 2025)
Tioga County Sports ReportBAINBRIDGE, N.Y. — Inconsistent offense put S-VE in a hole too big to dig out of despite a fourth-quarter comeback bid in a 41-34 loss to Windsor here Tuesday afternoon in the consolation game of Kazlaski Girls Basketball Tournament.
Windsor led 10-4 after the first quarter, but six different Panthers put their names in the scoring column in the second quarter, concluding Kaidince Root and Emma Neish, who both knocked down 3-pointers. S-VE outscored Windsor, 14-12, to close the gap to 22-18 at the half.
S-VE was held to four points again the third quarter, and the Black Knights used a 15-4 to open up a 37-22 leading heading into the final eight minutes.
Lauren Gillette had eight points, 11 rebounds and two assists, while Kaylee Kastenhuber had eight points and seven boards, and Trinity Dashler had six points and five rebounds.
Root added five points and four rebounds for S-VE, and Kendall Gentile chipped in with four points.
B Ingram led Windsor with 17 points and C. Carr added 13.
S-VE returns to action Tuesday at Newfield.
